NTS holds first-ever Open House

On March 5th 2004, the National Tax Service(NTS) held an Open House with
foreign business communities, which was intended to eliminate the wall that
might have existed between the NTS and the foreign taxpayers.


NTS Commissioner Yongsup Lee expressed appreciation to the invited representatives
and guests for contributing to South Korea\'s economic growth and said the NTS
will continuously reform the tax administration in the direction of enhancing
foreign taxpayers\' convenience.


Also, he announced "This year, we plan to expand the Exemplary Taxpayer
System to foreign companies that exhibit a high-degree of integrity and award
them with various benefits."
